Why are earth signs like this?

i notice people with earth in their chart are dry,boring and care about nothing but security,money and business. i looked up my virgo ex chart and he had a virgo mercury and taurus moon.we would talk for hrs and days and never slept with eachother, it was horrible for me because i have a high sex drive. but i loved him so i was being patient , after a yr of not having sex i just grew tired of him and ended the relationship. religion had nothing to do with this either. he always overworked himself, just threw himself into a pile of work for who knows what. he always wanted to work or be occupied with his friends or something,therefore, he never has time to be intimate and sex would be the last thing on his mind. even when he accomplishs alot he still feels unsatisfied and complains about not doing enough. ironically hes always ranting about how lazy he can be...when hes always on the go
