Could someone explain to me in simple terms what my natal chart means?

Each planet has a set of characteristics and each element has a mode of action. the various combinations equal the complexities of our personalities. What I usually tell beginners is to start by reading the interpretations to see how well they describe you. Then start by looking into the pieces of the chart- the way the houses are set up, meaning the signs around the houses, not just the Ascendant. This tells you the way you view your entire world and all of its issues; your basic thinking and attitudes. Once you read through all of the meanings of the houses, then you can look at what it means to have your signs on those houses. Then you can learn how each of your planets modify the meanings of the houses they inhabit. So this means you'll study the meanings of the planets first. Finally there are the aspects- these are the relationships between the planets, and this has a lot to do with your motivations and emotional workings. All of these are the "why?" of your chart. Incidentally, according to your chart, your Sun in Aries should be in the sixth house. Aries is not usually a questioner of "why" but because the Sun is in the 6th house ( usually Virgo's house) you have the need to examine and understand more than the basic Aries who just wants to have fun. Depending on where the Pluto is, how close it is to the Asc, more emphasis is given to investigation and digging into the "whys" of any issue you care about.
