Im confused on degrees in zodiac signs?

* Those numbers are the location of the planets and house cusps in the zodiac. Think of the Zodiac as a long number line, starting with 00degrees 00minutes of Aries and going through the Zodiac signs in order to 29 degrees 59 minutes of Pisces.The planets fit in there somewhere and the way to tell where is by looking at the numbers and fitting them onto the line. The houses in your chart are arranged in a wheel with sections like spokes, each section starts with a sign on the first house and moves through the signs in order till you get to the end of the last house, the 12th.In your chart, the sign that is on the first house is Cancer, it is 11degrees Cancer 25 minutes.This is the beginning of your chart. The next house, the 2nd is 2 degrees Leo 44 minutes. If you look at your planets you will see Mars at 7 degrees 12 minutes, locating it in the 2nd house because it is to the right of the 2 degrees on the cusp of the 2nd house. Get it?
