How do we remove the stain on americas reputation as self serving bullies, from the fabric of world opinion?

since 1940 america has financially,militarily or politically backed over 30 coup detat's around the globe ! i am only assessing the two i consider most relevant due to lack of space . belgian congo 1960...democratically elected Patrice Lamumba was seen by the congolese as a champion of the people ! he promised to tax the american and belgian internal commercial ventures fairly,in order to provide prosperity and infrastructure to the congolese people. the congo is a wealth of vital mineral resources.america later admitted to backing mobutu sese seke militarily in the assassination of lumumba in 1961 mobutu later gained power by force and exploited the countries revenues for personal gain. his reign lasted over 30 years leaving a legacy of starvation, crimes against humanity and ultimately a rebellion that split the country politically and along opposing boundaries ! travel to the congo is presently not recommended as war lords are the common governing body and personal safety is dubious ! hugo chavez 2002 venezuela its heartily denied but overwhelming evidence supports claims that the bush administration and the cia backed a coup that ousted democratically elected hugo chavez for two days in 2002 the carter center and the OAS both american organizations that watch dog world elections claim a legitimate 60% majority of votes went to hugo chavez up till 2009 his reforms elevated education,employment,health care and production levels for the venezuelan people by redistribution of the wealth to the entire country rather than just the 3 % oligarchy that previously had controlled the country.lifting venezuela from its third world status !.america has continually criticized chavez but the UN heartily praised his improvements ! and although defined a socialist country venezuela is a positive representation of a balanced economy.as far as i can see their only sin was to renegotiate royalty payments that allowed phillips petroleum and exxon mobile to pay as little as 1% in taxes on their several billion dollar revenues realized on venezuelan oil resources and their refusal to boycott cuban oil importation however in 2009 america disputed chavez's legitimacy but up till today those claims are unproven !! as americans it is our duty to oversee our governments actions, but most are content to bury their heads in the sand while america continues its downward spiral in world opinion................ please only valid and relevant observations !!!
